Alex Oliva (he/him) is a Boston-based circus and movement artist. Specializing in aerial straps and Cyr wheel, Alex always seeks to push the boundaries of movement arts with captivating and innovative movement by drawing from his gymnastics and dance background. He has performed nationwide with companies such as House of Yes, CirqOvation, Caroline Calouche & Co, Bindlestiff, and Berber, among many others. He has also performed in festivals all over the globe including the Western Australian Circus Festival, Moisture Festival, and the San Diego Circus Festival where he received several awards for his straps and Cyr wheel acts. As a dancer, Alex just finished his fourth season with Boston contemporary dance group Urbanity Underground. He received his training primarily under Victor Fomine, Angelica Bongiovonni, and Eric Deschenes in Montreal.
