Nina Evelyn, soprano and P.S.C. candidate at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, will lead the session, offering an overview of the historic contributions of Black composers to the classical vocal realm and resources for discovering and programing this rich repertoire.
This free workshop, open to the public with suggested donations of $10 for students and $20 for individuals, provides attendees with insights into composers’ major contributions, composition style, listening examples, and a brief reference to contemporaries.
